Silverstream Retreat Our convention is to be held at the Silverstream Retreat, Silverstream, Upper Hutt. Situated alongside the Hutt River this venue is perfect for a photography convention. Everything is included onsite - workshops, accommodation, meals, photo opportunities all in one place! Originally built for the New Zealand Military, this site was handed over to the US Marines before completion. After the war it became a public hospital and later became the Silverstream Park Christian Centre and is now known as the Silverstream Retreat. Many of the original buildings from when it was a military hospital are still standing and provide awesome opportunities for the artistic photographer. The venue is now used as a wedding and conference centre, holiday camp, motels and much more. There are several buildings that are available for us to use for workshops etc. We have also secured the accommodation blocks for convention attendees at a very reasonable cost.
